As you age, everything from sun damage to gravity affects the appearance of your skin, leading to fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and dark spots, sagging skin, uneven skin tone, and much more. When you are young, natural stem cells produce peptides, cytokines, and growth factors that stimulate collagen and elastin production that keeps your skin looking radiant. As you age, those stem cells decline, affecting the elasticity and overall health of your skin. This loss inhibits the body’s ability to repair skin damage caused by aging. While lasers and microneedling are proven treatment options for many of these conditions, Sarasota Facial Aesthetics is proud to offer Procell Microchanneling, a revolutionary new treatment option taking the aesthetic skincare world by storm.
Procell Microchanneling creates hundreds of thousands of microchannels in the skin designed to stimulate collagen production while also allowing for better absorption of a specialized serum containing naturally derived cytokines, growth factors and peptides that stimulate youthful skin regeneration, allowing you to produce youthful, healthy-looking skin.
What Is Procell Microchanneling?
Procell Microchanneling is an award-winning anti-age and corrective aesthetic skin treatment that combines microchanneling with a mesenchymal stem cell and cytokine protein serum designed to stimulate collagen and elastin skin production to reveal a youthful, vibrant complexion. The unique microchanneling device creates clean microchannels, minimizing the tissue damage often seen with microneedling, allowing this treatment to reduce the injury to the skin while maximizing clinical benefits.

Am I a Candidate?
Procell Microchanneling is a non-invasive skin treatment that is safe and effective for all skin types. Ideal candidates will be in good overall health with realistic expectations for treatment. Disqualifying conditions can include:

- Current radiation or chemotherapy
- Chronic inflammatory skin diseases

How Does Procell Microchanneling Work?
Procell Microchanneling utilizes a unique device that vertically stamps microneedles directly into the outermost layers of your skin. Unlike microneedling which drags the needles across the skin, causing skin trauma, the Procell device allows the technician to create hundreds of thousands of micro-injuries to the skin without the unnecessary tissue damage, thereby stimulating collagen and elastin production. These microchannels then allow for increased absorption of the Procell stem cell serum, providing the added collagen-building boost that helps deliver youthful, radiant skin.
When Can I See the Results?
Immediately after your microneedling treatment, your skin may feel warm and tight and appear mildly pink or red, similar to a sunburn, but should resolve within 24 hours. Mild sloughing of dead skin is common and can occur for up to three or more days after treatment. While collagen production, known as neocollagenesis, takes several weeks, you may see initial signs of skin improvement within the first few days after treatment when new layers of skin become exposed. The more treatments you receive, the stronger the cellular matrix becomes and the more apparent your results are.
Procell Microchanneling FAQ
How many treatments will I need?
While you may experience significant changes after only one treatment, 2 to 3 treatments are generally recommended in order to help develop a thicker and more robust collagen-filled cellular matrix. Skin conditions such as scarring or fine lines and wrinkles may require six or more treatments in order to achieve ideal results.
Does Procell Microchanneling hurt?
In most cases, patients are able to have the treatment without any need for the application of numbing cream, making the total treatment time much shorter than other microneedling treatments. Once the treatment is done, your skin may feel tight and hot, similar to a sunburn.
How long will my results last?
Procell Microchanneling results can last between 2-10 years depending on your lifestyle, current age, and general skincare routine.
What is in the Procell serum?
The Procell serum delivered during your microchannel treatment comprises bone marrow-derived growth factors within a hyaluronic acid suspension. These growth factors promote scarless healing and minimal inflammation, helping to boost and strengthen collagen growth.
