What Is AQUAGOLD?
AQUAGOLD is a cutting-edge microchannel microinjector that delivers advanced skin care products directly to the deeper layer of skin just under the dermis. The AQUAGOLD device includes 20 ultra-fine microneedles that are thinner than a human hair, each designed with a hollow spiral for precise delivery of a variety of skin treatments.
In addition to delivering skin treatments below the skin’s surface for enhanced results, AQUAGOLD can also deliver micro-doses of BOTOX® and facial fillers.
AQUAGOLD vs. Microneedling
One of the primary differences between traditional microneedling and AQUAGOLD is that traditional microneedling needles are solid and work by stimulating collagen production. Products like PRP can be applied topically to the skin immediately following microneedling, however.
AQUAGOLD, on the other hand, uses very fine needles with a hollowed spiral, allowing skin care products like PRP and many others to be delivered directly below the dermis during treatment. AQUAGOLD can also deliver to a more precise depth of the skin than traditional microneedling.

How long does an AQUAGOLD appointment take?
Most appointments run about 30 to 45 minutes. That includes a consultation, skin prep and the treatment itself. The treatment time depends on how many areas you’re having done, since the face, neck, décolletage and hands are each treated separately.
How does AQUAGOLD differ from traditional microneedling?
Traditional microneedling makes tiny channels in the skin, and a serum is applied on top afterward. AQUAGOLD uses hollow, gold-coated needles that place the product directly beneath the dermis as the needles enter the skin.
Why are the needles gold-coated?
The 24-karat gold coating helps make the needles less likely to cause a reaction than uncoated needles. Gold is also a very gentle, non-irritating material for skin contact.
What can be delivered during an AQUAGOLD treatment?

How many AQUAGOLD sessions will I need?

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Arrive with a clean face and avoid sun exposure, tanning and harsh skin care products beforehand. You may also be asked to avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, such as aspirin and fish oil, ahead of time when it’s safe to do so. Be sure to let us know about any medications you’re taking or any history of cold sores.
What will my skin look like right after treatment?
Expect some pinkness and mild swelling in the treated areas, similar to a light sunburn. You may also notice small bumps where product was placed, which typically settle within a day or two. Most people feel comfortable going out in public soon after, though some prefer to schedule treatment before a low-key evening.
What aftercare do I need to follow?
Keep your skin clean and hydrated with a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and avoid heavy makeup, strenuous exercise and hot tubs or saunas for a short time after treatment. Sunscreen is essential, so use a broad-spectrum SPF daily and avoid direct sun exposure while the skin heals.
Can AQUAGOLD be combined with other treatments?
Yes. AQUAGOLD is often paired with injectables like BOTOX or fillers, or with other skin treatments as part of a broader plan. We will advise on the best order and spacing at your consultation.
