UPNEEQ® for Drooping Eyelids
We are excited to offer an FDA-approved prescription eye lifting drop called UPNEEQ® that temporarily improves droopy eyelids, or ptosis, with a single daily dose. Our patients see an average of about 1 mm of lift in their upper eyelid after the first use. It’s a revolution to have a completely nonsurgical option to look more lively and vibrant without surgery!
What Is UPNEEQ?
UPNEEQ is a once-daily eye drop that activates receptors in a muscle of the upper eyelid. This causes the contraction of the muscle and results in elevation of the eyelid.
In each prescription packet of UPNEEQ, you will receive enough doses to treat both of your eyes for an entire month. Results appear within just a few hours of administering the eye drops and can be maintained with daily reapplication.
In addition to a more alert, refreshed appearance, UPNEEQ can also improve field of vision for people whose upper eyelids are significantly sagging.

Am I a Candidate?
You may be a good candidate if you have mild, moderate, or severe upper eyelid sagging and you are not taking any medications that will interfere with UPNEEQ. We’ll review your medication and medical history during your consultation. It may not be a good option for you if you are on beta-blockers, certain blood pressure medications, certain antidepressants, and other prescription medications.
How UPNEEQ Compares to Eyelid Surgery
UPNEEQ is approved to treat “acquired blepharoptosis,” or upper eyelids that have begun to sag as you age. If you have always had heavy upper eyelids, the treatment may not be as effective. With an average 1mm rise in the position of the upper eyelids, the treatment can provide a noticeably more open and awake eye appearance. For people who want a more significant lift, those who have a significant amount of loose skin on top of the eyelid, and those who also want to treat their lower eyelids, eyelid lift surgery (blepharoplasty) may be a better option. UPNEEQ can be a great approach for people who want temporary lifting results without the downtime and discomfort of a surgical eyelid lift.
