Dysport®

Are crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles and other signs of aging keeping you from looking and feeling your best? Dysport® is an effective non-surgical solution to many common skin-related aging concerns, including lines and wrinkles near the eyes and on the forehead and brow. With little to no downtime expected after Dysport treatment, you can expect to get right back to your regular routine after your appointment.

What Is Dysport?
Dysport is a type of injectable wrinkle treatment called a “neuromodulator.” Like BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport works by temporarily relaxing the muscle contractions in the targeted area that otherwise cause static lines and wrinkles to form.
While the immediate effects of Dysport will gradually fade away, some evidence shows that repeated injections may help to slow or even prevent the formation of new static wrinkles in the future.

- “11” lines between your eyebrows
- “Bunny lines” on your nose
- Wrinkles around your lips

Am I a Candidate?
You could be a good candidate for Dysport if you are in good overall health and wish to smooth away the appearance of lines, wrinkles and creases on your forehead, brow, near your eyes and other areas.
Dysport can be combined with other anti-aging treatments such as facial fillers or included in a non-surgical facelift for even more comprehensive results.
How Dysport Works
Dysport works by injecting a purified protein into the treatment area, causing the underlying facial muscles to quiet and relax. This inhibits the formation of dynamic wrinkles, which transform into static or permanent wrinkles over time.

Results
You may notice some results directly after your Dysport appointment, though it can take up to two weeks to see your final outcome. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled around 10 to 14 days after your initial Dysport treatment to ensure that you are fully satisfied with your results.
Mild swelling, bruising and redness are common side effects after getting Dysport, but they should resolve on their own within a few hours or days after your appointment.
Neuromodulators like Dysport have temporary effects, usually lasting 3 to 6 months before another treatment session is needed to maintain the same results.

Dysport FAQ
How much does Dysport cost?
The average cost of a single Dysport treatment can vary from around $200 to $600 or more. Dysport is measured in units, and patients typically need anywhere from 30 to 100 units of Dysport, depending on the location and size of the treatment area(s).
What’s the difference between Dysport and BOTOX?
Dysport and BOTOX both use the same active ingredient — botulinum toxin A — to achieve similar results. Dysport contains smaller proteins than BOTOX, giving it a smaller concentration of the active ingredient. Thus, Dysport is generally more spreadable than BOTOX, making it an excellent choice for larger treatment areas.
Does Dysport hurt?
Most people find that Dysport is a relatively comfortable procedure. We use a small ice pack to “freeze” the treatment area, as well as use the smallest needle possible to ensure your comfort.
How long will my Dysport treatment take?
A single Dysport treatment usually takes around 10 to 20 minutes.
