Facials & Peels

Are you looking for glowing, radiant skin but aren’t sure where to start? Facials and chemical peels are highly effective skin rejuvenation treatments that can reset and rebalance your complexion to achieve a smooth, natural-looking glow, advanced hydration and deep cleansing.

What Are Facials & Peels?
Facials and peels share some similar characteristics, with one main distinction: facials use a variety of skin serums and topical antioxidants to rejuvenate the skin, while chemical peels use alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and other natural acids to peel away the outermost layer of skin, revealing the fresh, brighter layer underneath.

Areas of Treatment
Facials and peels can treat a variety of skin concerns on the face, neck and décolletage, including:
- Lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin tone and texture
- Dull, lackluster complexion
- Clogged pores, blackheads and whiteheads
- Sun damage and dark spots
- Acne scars
Am I a Candidate?
You could be a great candidate for facials or peels if you are looking for a smoother, brighter and more even skin tone and texture using a non-invasive approach.
Those with very sensitive skin types, rosacea, acne-prone skin and darker skin tones are at a greater risk of side effects like hyperpigmentation, discoloration and inflammation. Work with one of our knowledgeable skin care professionals to choose a gentle facial or peel that could be appropriate for your skin type and needs.
How Facials & Peels Work
Facials and peels work by stimulating collagen production and natural cell renewal, providing antioxidant protection against free radical damage and safely and gently exfoliating the skin for a bright, refreshed look. Each type of facial and chemical peel will work slightly differently and is aimed at treating slightly different concerns.

Results
You may notice an immediate glow and fresh complexion following your facial, though it can take several days for your final results to develop and existing skin conditions like acne blemishes or dark spots to fade away.
Chemical peels can take longer to produce results, as the topmost layer of your skin will gradually peel away over the coming days and weeks. The length of time needed for recovery and results following your chemical peel will depend on the strength of the peel.
Most people find that a monthly facial helps to maintain their same excellent results, though chemical peels can often yield longer-lasting outcomes, sometimes lasting up to six months before a touch-up treatment may be needed.

Facials & Peels FAQ
How much do facials cost in Sarasota?
The cost of a facial typically ranges between $200-$400. The cost of your facial will depend on the specific facial you choose, the severity of the skin conditions you’d like to treat and other factors.
Are facials and peels safe for all skin tones?
Most of our facial treatments are appropriate for all skin tones. Chemical peels require a bit more consideration, since certain acids can trigger post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) in darker skin tones. Our providers are experienced in selecting the right peel strength and formulation for your skin tone to minimize that risk.
How long does a facial or peel appointment take?
Treatment times vary depending on the service. Many of our facials can be completed in as little as 30 to 45 minutes, making them easy to fit into a lunch break. Deeper chemical peels may take closer to 60 to 90 minutes.
Can I get a facial or peel if I have sensitive skin or rosacea?
Yes, but the choice of treatment matters. Those with sensitive skin, rosacea, active acne, or darker skin tones carry a higher risk of irritation, inflammation or hyperpigmentation with more aggressive peels. We’ll work with you to select a gentler option that’s appropriate for your skin type.
Do facials and peels help with acne?
Yes, several of our treatments are particularly well-suited for acne-prone skin. The Vi Peel, for example, is specifically formulated to clear active acne and impurities and is safe for both teens and adults. During your consultation, we’ll help you choose the most effective approach for your specific skin concerns.
Is there anything I should avoid before or after my facial or peel?
Before your treatment, avoid excessive sun exposure and let your provider know if you’re using retinol or other active ingredients, as these may need to be paused in advance. After a peel especially, sun protection is critical, as your skin will be more sensitive to UV exposure. Avoid harsh exfoliants, waxing and certain other skin treatments for the period recommended by our team.
What’s the difference between a facial and a chemical peel?
Facials use serums, antioxidants and specialized techniques to cleanse, hydrate and nourish the skin. Chemical peels use AHAs, BHAs or other acids to exfoliate and remove the outermost layer of skin, revealing fresher, brighter skin underneath. Facials are generally more focused on maintenance and hydration, while peels offer a deeper resurfacing effect. Many patients benefit from combining both, such as our Dynamic Duo, which pairs dermaplaning with HydraFacial.
How do I know which facial or peel is right for me?
The best choice depends on your skin type, concerns and how much downtime you’re comfortable with. During your consultation, our skincare professionals will evaluate your skin and recommend the best treatment for your specific goals.
Do facials and peels hurt?
Facials and peels are typically well-tolerated, though you may feel slight tingling sensations during a peel. Most people find that facials are relatively pain-free and are often relaxing.
Can I wear makeup after my treatment?
After most facials, you can apply makeup the same day if desired. After a chemical peel, we recommend avoiding makeup for 24 hours or longer if your skin is actively peeling. Your provider will give you specific aftercare guidance based on which treatment you receive.
When will I see results?
Many patients notice an immediate improvement in skin tone and radiance after a facial. Chemical peel results typically emerge over the following days to weeks as the skin renews itself. For optimal results with peels, we often recommend a series of treatments.
Can I get a facial or peel if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Some treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to the ingredients involved, particularly certain chemical peels. If you are pregnant or nursing, please let us know when you book your appointment so we can recommend safe alternatives.
