Microblading & Lip Blushing

Have you ever wished you could cut your makeup application time in half while still achieving a professional, put-together look? Unlike permanent makeup of the past, eyebrow microblading and lip blushing use innovative technology to help you get and maintain the shaped and full eyebrows and lips you’re after without requiring time-consuming makeup application every morning.

What Are Microblading and Blushing?
Microblading and lip blushing are two modern, advanced tools that can be used to achieve semi-permanent makeup while still maintaining a natural look.
Eyebrow Microblading
Microblading is similar to eyebrow tattooing. It uses tiny needles to place pigment within small incisions on the skin to achieve hair-like lines for fuller eyebrows that don’t require any daily maintenance. Unlike traditional eyebrow tattoos, microblading does gradually fade away — usually after a few years — so you’re not stuck with the same look forever.
Lip Blushing
Similarly, lip blushing or lip tinting offers an innovative alternative to traditional lip tattooing. This process uses tiny needles to lightly shade your lips, looking much like a regular lip stain or tint that you would apply yourself. Lip blushing can also last for several years before you might need a touch-up.

Am I a Candidate for Microblading?
The ideal candidate for microblading is someone who has some level of hair loss or thinning in the eyebrow area and is looking for a fuller, more natural-looking brow.
Microblading may not be the best treatment option for you if:
- You struggle with rosacea, acne, psoriasis or other similar skin conditions that affect the eyebrow area.
- You’ve just received BOTOX® Cosmetic in the eyebrow area — wait at least three weeks after getting BOTOX for microblading.
- You’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
Am I a Candidate for Blushing?
You could be a great candidate for lip blushing if you’re looking for a subtle, natural-looking improvement to the shade of your lips that allows you to walk out of the house each morning without applying lipstick or stain.
However, lip blushing may not be right for you if:
- You’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You’ve recently had lip fillers — wait at least three weeks after getting filler in the lips to move forward with lip blushing.
How Microblading and Blushing Work
Microblading and lip blushing both use very small needles to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. However, both differ from traditional makeup tattooing in that they do not deposit the pigment deeply into the dermis, allowing for a much more seamless and natural result.
Microblading starts by using a very thin blade that consists of super-fine needles to create tiny hair-like incisions in the skin. The small needles deposit pigment into these incisions, creating a natural look.
Lip blushing is a one- to three-hour process that involves the use of small needles, which deposit pigment into your lips. The pigment is carefully layered to create a shaded, natural appearance.

Results
After both microblading and lip blushing, you should see results right away. However, it can take some time for your final results to fully develop.
After microblading, it can take 2 to 3 weeks for your skin to fully heal, so your results should continue to improve throughout the healing process. However, most people feel comfortable getting right back to their normal routines directly after their microblading appointment. Microblading results can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years before you might need a touch-up.
After lip blushing, it can take around 5 to 10 days for your skin to heal and final results to develop. Lip blushing results can last 2 to 5 years before a touch-up could be required.
