New Year – New You!

New Year is a great time to make commitments for a healthy better you. You exercise, eat right and get plenty of rest, but sometimes it’s just not enough, especially as you age. Injectable products like BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are a great way to reverse common signs of aging.
Depending on the type of injectable used, the positive results of an injectable treatment can last anywhere from 6 to 24 months. BOTOX® Cosmetic can last 3-4 months. How do these fillers help? Below are just a few ways BOTOX® or dermal filler treatments can refresh your look.
JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® are very similar most commonly used to address the nasolabial folds (the lines that go from the edges of the nose to the corners of the mouth), the marionette lines (the lines that go from the corners of the mouth down to the chin), the lips, and small contour irregularities of the face (acne scars, pits, divots, asymmetries). Tired, sagging facial skin, thin lips, wrinkles, and folds can all be corrected with fillers. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® is great for volumizing the checks and upper portions of your face, such as temples. The face is left refreshed, and volumized.
Used in conjunction with Botox, many clients consider this treatment a “Liquid Facelift.” BOTOX® Cosmetic used on the forehead and around the eyes will help to erase lines and lift dropping skin. In fact, many clients prefer this combination to stave off the need for a traditional facelift for a couple more years.
The best way to extend the life of your BOTOX® or filler results is to regularly undergo “maintenance” treatments before your results wear off. Recurrent treatments are especially useful for Botox as they may actually train targeted muscles to respond to the neurotoxin for longer periods of time.
Sculptra® Aesthetic helps to add the volume back to the face that has deflated with age. An older face shows a loss of fullness in the cheeks, temples, lips, and area around the mouth and will show fat loss under the eyes which creates a hollow effect. Where there used to be light, now there are shadows. By replacing the volume loss, you reverse the creation of shadow and restore the reflection of light and the appearance of youth, energy, and vibrant. This volume replacement fills the skin so that it is lifted by the formation of your body’s own collagen – collagen that was created in surrounding the microscopic particles that make up Sculptra® Sculptra® is not a wrinkle filler, but a bio-activator or “volumizer”. It works by stimulating the body to produce new collagen at the sites of injection, thereby replacing lost volume and contours to restore a fuller, more youthful appearance. Treatment consists of a few injections to the areas to be volumized, the cheek, temple, jawline. Usually, 2 or 3 treatment sessions are required to get the desired effect. The lasting effects of Sculptra™ vary from patient to patient, however, studies have shown that some Sculptra™ patients have seen results last up to or greater than two years from the first treatment. Periodic touch-up treatments will maintain the desired effects.
No matter what area you would like to concentrate on, begin with a consultation in order to understand how each product works to achieve your goal – A natural looking refreshed appearance.
